| Term | Definition |
| Address Bar | Tynt Publisher Tools provides the ability to track when people visit your site using a URL that was previously copied from the address bar of their browser. |
| Attributed copy | A text copy that includes at least 7 words. Tynt Publisher Tools will automatically add an Attribution link to this text. |
| Attribution Link | The line of text that Tynt Publisher Tools automatically adds to copied content, containing a hypertext link back to the source of the copied material (usually your website). |
| Copies | Copies refers to the total number of times content was copied from your site and includes Attributed copies, Search copies and Image copies |

The number of links created by Tynt Publisher Tools every time someone copies text 7 words or greater. |
| Generated Views | The number of Page Views that resulted from people visiting your site using a link generated by Tynt Publisher Tools. The number of page views will frequently be higher than the Visits count because people will visit multiple pages on your site once they get there using a Tynt Publisher Tools generated link. |
| Heat Map | A rendering of a web page, that uses color-coded gradients to indicate the frequency at which text is copied from the page. Red indicates the most heavily copied content. |
| Image Copy | This is a copy from your site that contained only image data. |
| Increase | The percentage increase in page views that resulted from people following Tynt Publisher Tools generated links. |
| Links Followed | This is the number of links that were generated for your site by Tynt Publisher Tools and were then actually followed by people. A link created that no one clicked on is not counted. |
| Most Engaging Content | An overview of the pages on your site that had the heaviest copy activity. |
| Other (sources of links) |
A count of the number of time people followed Tynt Publisher Tools generated links to your site from locations other than an Attribution link. This could include pages like those in Tynt Content Discovery. |

| Search Copy | This is a text copy of less than 7 words. Typically, these copies consist of proper names or terms that are then pasted into a search engine. Tynt Publisher Tools does not add attribution links to search copies. |
| SEO | Search Engine Optimization – commonly used to refer to the process of maximizing the number of links to a given web site that are visible to the popular search engines such as Google. |
| SEO Links – Bronze | The number of Tynt Publisher Tools generated links that have been followed where there was no referrer information, or the referrer information lists domain that will not be indexed (e.g. webmail client). This commonly occurs if the link resides in an email message. |
| SEO Links – Gold | The number of Tynt Publisher Tools generated links that were clicked on by people and have valid referrer information in the page request. These links are certain to improve SEO ratings. |
| SEO Links – Silver | The number of Tynt Publisher Tools generated links that were produced but have not yet been followed back to your website. They may be visible to search engines such as Google, but we will not know until they are followed. |
| Top Images | A display of the most heavily copied images from your site. |
| Top Words | A display of the most heavily copied words from your site. |
| Tynt impact on Pages | A detailed listing of the pages, where Tynt Publisher Tools increased the page views to your site. |
| Visits, Generated Visits | This is the number of times people visited your site using a link generated by Tynt Publisher Tools. |
| Where your content is going | A listing of sites to which content from you web pages has been pasted. |
| Word Copies | The total number of words copied from your site, including both Attribution copies and Search copies. |
